Ukraine makes massive gains as tanks seize key river from retreating Russian troops in latest humiliation for Putin

Ukrainian forces continued to reinforce their positions across the Oskil River in the Kharkiv region in the last humiliating blow of Vladimir Putin.

Luhansk Province Governor Serhiy Haiday confirmed that Ukraine now controls the eastern bank of the Uskil River, a key position on the front line,

He added that the army's next target would be neighboring Luhansk.

Shared video a_shtirlitz shows what appears to be a Ukrainian tank crossing the flooded Oskil Bridge while soldiers in uniform are seen on the other side of the bank.

The Russian army has been almost entirely driven out of the Kharkiv region in northeastern Ukraine since Ukraine launched its last counter-offensive to reclaim territory.

Hedayi wrote on Telegram: “The Luhansk region is completely adjacent.

The abolition of occupation is not far away."

This latest development also means that Ukraine has revealed one of Moscow's remaining major supply routes.

On Saturday, there were reports that Ukrainian forces "logistically" intercepted the main P-66 highway.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this would pave the way for an attack on Russian forces in the eastern Donbass region.

In fact, the Oskil River flows south into the Seversky Donets River, which in turn passes through the Donbass.

Donbass is the precious territory of Moscow and the main focus of conquest.

The Ukrainian counterattack comes as frustrated Russian forces withdrew in a "panic" from their positions along the Oskil River, local newspaper Kyiv Independent reported.

Hundreds of vehicles and mechanisms, and possibly thousands of victims, were left behind by those fleeing.

In the city of Izyum in eastern Ukraine's Kharkiv region, which was seized last week, mass graves containing at least 450 bodies were discovered.

Many of the bodies exhumed from the graves show signs of torture and execution - possible tales of Russia's chaotic decline.

A tweet published by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on Sunday showed that Putin's T- tank

The more advanced £4.5 million 90M which was found abandoned after the withdrawal of troops.

“The newest Russian [sic] T-90M tank was found in the Kharkiv region in perfect condition. We ask its owner(s) to contact #UAarmy. Please identify yourself with a tag: white flag,

Tweet the account of the Ukrainian armed forces.

Meanwhile, Ukraine, in the south of the country, accused Moscow of bombing the Pevdnoukrainska nuclear power plant in the Mykolaiv region early this morning.

Missile attacks are almost continuous in the southern region,

Ukrainian forces are also pressing ahead with another counter-offensive campaign.
