Taco shops and kiosks are ubiquitous in Southern California, loved by the wider population as well as by the millions of Latinos who live there.

The president's lunch came hours after new numbers emerged that showed Americans were still suffering from a sharp rise in prices.

The Consumer Price Report - the last before voters head to the polls in the November midterm elections - showed that costs rose 0.4% in the last month.
