The decision, which can be appealed, came after the Brazilian Ministry of Justice imposed a separate fine of about $2.
5 million on Apple in September over the same issue and the American tech giant was banned from selling iPhone 12 and 13 models without chargers.

The new fine - 100 million reais - was awarded by a civil court judge in São Paulo as compensation in a lawsuit brought by the Brazilian Consumers Association.
Apple stopped including port chargers with new iPhones in October 2020, saying it wanted to help reduce electronic waste.

Judge Caramoro Afonso Francisco wrote in his ruling that the move "requires consumers to purchase a second product for the first to work."
He ordered the California company to supply chargers to all consumers in Brazil who have purchased iPhone 12 or 13 models in the past two years, and to start including them with all new purchases.

Apple also has a charger-related headache across the puddle.
