Over 140 Million In Gulf Countries Face Food Crisis: IMF

The managing director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, said on Monday that 48 countries are exposed to the global food crisis, and half of them are vulnerable.

Georgieva, speaking at a conference in Riyadh, said 141 million people across the Arab world are vulnerable to food insecurity. She said the International Monetary Fund would join its voice to fight restrictions on food trade in order to ease the situation.
