Elon Musk has come up with hilarious memes to defend his decision to charge $8 for Twitter verification.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has faced criticism over his plan to charge Twitter users $8 a month to get or keep a verified account. Now, Mask has created funny memes to defend his decision.
He shared a funny meme where people are happy to pay $8 for a Starbucks coffee but grumble to pay for the check mark on Twitter.

The Tesla CEO added: "Twitter is simply the most interesting place on the Internet. That's why you're reading this tweet now."
Shortly after Musk announced his plan for a new version of Twitter, people expressed disappointment with his decision.
Musk's plan to charge Twitter users for a verified account has sparked outrage and disbelief from some longtime microblogging site users. However, the backlash did not affect Musk.
And on Wednesday morning, he took to Twitter and confirmed his position on the topic at hand.
To all the complainants, please continue to complain,
But it will cost $8."
Musk later added, "I totally stole the idea of swearing and arguments from Monty Python tbh."
A day ago, Musk announced the Twitter plus paid subscription service that will allow users to post long videos and audio, as well as combat "spam and fraud."
He wrote on Twitter: "The current lords and peasants twitter system of who has or doesn't have a blue tick is bullshit.
