Putin’s traitor police chief blown up in car bomb after defecting from Ukraine to become feared interrogator
The newspaper's police chief is detonated in a car bomb after he defected from Ukraine to become a detective.
It is alleged that Denis Stefankov was the target of a car bomb that exploded on Sunday in downtown Melitopol.
Local media reported that the strike took place in the yard of an apartment building.
Former policeman Stefankov is said to have escaped to Russia to become Putin's police chief and was responsible for interrogating prisoners.
Mayor Ivan Fedorov said on Telegram: "A strong explosion in Melitopol Rise Square -
The rise in the city center is likely the result of the sweep of the FSB.

While Fedrov did not specify whether the ex-cop died in the blast,
Ukrainian media reported that he died.
The Telegraf news site claimed that he did not survive the assassination attempt, citing informed sources.
