Watch as wedding proposal goes horribly wrong as couple’s two-year-old daughter DROPS ring into sea

 

This is the moment when the seashore went horribly wrong when the happy couple's baby dropped the ring overboard.

When fiancée Luke got down on one knee for his partner Stephanie in Hervey Bay, Australia, her two-year-old daughter, Harper Jane, snatched the jewelry from the ring box to pass to her mother.

Unfortunately, Toot's fist was not secure enough and she fumbled in the ring, which fell through the gaps in the planks of the wooden pier that was supposed to be the romantic site of the engagement.

Then she fell into the sea below while Father Luke rushed to her rescue.

Posting a clip of the unfortunate incident on TikTok, Luke said: "Kids are fast,

Much faster than you think -

I didn't actually realize she picked it up."

The footage shows Luke bravely diving in an attempt to save the ring as the couple's friend can be heard screaming that the water is too shallow to jump into.

The adrenaline-filled pair have since admitted that he was in the middle

At the time he heard the alarm sound and that he "had to sacrifice the left side of my body and [work] the starfish."

"I still have an earache, a little bit," he adds.

Apparently, his friends were even joking about him dropping the ring and suggested tying fishing line around him, just in case.

Fortunately, the couple got the precious accessory back, thanks to the clear waters of Hervey Bay.

They say that if he fell into the water by the house of the Gold Coast, he would have been gone forever.

The only thing missing was Luke's earlobe but that was much better than losing the ring.

The couple stress that they don't blame the little girl at all for the landing, saying, "It wasn't Harpy's fault."

"Luke basically wanted to ask Harpie as well, because Luke is actually Harper's stepfather," Stephanie said.
