Elon Musk said Tuesday that the Twitter Inc purchase is "an acceleration to create X, apply it all," after the billionaire proposed going ahead with his original $44 billion bid to make the social media company private.

 

In another tweet, he said, "Maybe Twitter X speeds up 3 to 5 years, but I could be wrong."

Although Musk did not disclose his plans for Twitter, he did say that the service may charge corporate and government users fees.
