No Woman In China Communist Party's New Top Body, First Time In 25 Years
The Chinese Communist Party's top body will have no full women members for the first time in 25 years, according to the new Politburo roster released Sunday.
The new Politburo list released Sunday said the top body of the Communist Party of China will not include full members for the first time in 25 years.
Sun Chunlan, the only woman who was a member of the former Politburo, retired, and no other woman was appointed.

According to what was reported by state media from the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, close aide Deng Xuexiang, Guangdong Party Chairman Li Xi and Beijing Party Chairman Cai Zhi were among the new line-up.
“They are all members of Shi, which indicates that he wants to rule even after a third term,
said Alvid Wu Mulwan, an expert on Chinese politics at the National University of Singapore.
