Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif came to the defense of his country after US President Joe Biden questioned the precarious state of its nuclear programme.


“Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state that is fully capable of protecting its national interests while respecting international laws and practices.
Our nuclear program is in no way a threat to any country. Like all independent countries," Nawaz Sharif tweeted.
"Pakistan reserves the right to protect its autonomy, its sovereign state and its territorial integrity," he added.

The President of Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, also responded to Biden's statement and said on what basis did he make that statement.
He further claimed that "unlike the US which was involved in wars all over the world, when Pakistan showed aggression, especially after the nuclear transformation".
