Billionaire Elon Musk said Tuesday that SpaceX's Starlink services have not received any funding from the US Department of Defense (DoD), a day after reports that the Pentagon is considering paying for the Starlink satellite network in war-torn Ukraine.
SpaceX is losing roughly $20 million a month in unpaid service and costs related to cyber defense security measures, but “we'll keep doing that (sigh),” Musk tweeted.
“There is no money from the Department of Defense, but many other countries, institutions and individuals are paying for 11,000/25,000 terminals,” Musk said.
